Aging Buckets

This section displays a breakdown of the account's total balance, based on the system's configuration. The following layouts are available for controlling how transactions age:

Transaction Date: Transactions will begin aging as soon as they're created based on the assigned date. Using this method, a transaction dated in November will be included in the 'Current Balance' until December, when it will age into '30-60 Balance'.
Current Period: Transactions will age as though they were created during the current month, regardless of the date that is assigned.
Until Billed: Transactions will not begin aging until they have appeared on a bill.

Each 'bucket' is based on the month of the invoice date. If the current month is December, all invoices dated in November will be included in the 30-60 Balance, and all December invoices will appear under Current Balance.

Invoices with future dates will not be reflected in the Current Balance, but will still appear in the Total Balance. This difference can also be considered an "Unbilled" Balance.

Merge Field dynamic values also correspond with the aging bucket column. When creating Mail Merges or Letter Templates, merge fields allow balance buckets with unique values to be displayed for each customer account.

Bill Bucket Names will insert '30-60 Balance'.
Bill Bucket Values will insert the numerical value of the specified bucket.
Bill Bucket Value Plus will insert the numerical value of the specified bucket plus all balance buckets in the future.
ie: '60-90 Balance' + '90-120 Balance' + '120+ Balance' also stated as '60-90+ Balance'
Bill Bucket 1 = 30-60 Day Balance
Bill Bucket 2 = 60-90 Day Balance
Bill Bucket 3 = 90-120 Day Balance
Bill Bucket 4 = 120+ Day Balance

Upcoming Charges

Accu-Trax will determine the Upcoming Charges buckets by looking at which regularly occurring Services are still set to be active during the following months.

Starting, editing, or stopping Services will affect the values in these buckets.
If the aging behavior is set to Until Billed, then all billed transactions will not appear in the Upcoming Charges once they are billed for, and will instead appear in the respective Aging Bucket based on the date the billing took place.
