Adding a Container

One of the first steps is to figure out a naming convention.

  • This helps to maintain consistency, be meaningful at a glance, and make it easier to find later.
    • Example container name: RC-35G-250
    • It will look like this in the Services Tab under Containers:

Create a Container Type

If a Container Type has not been created for these specific containers, then, in this example, make a container type called RC with the Description: Rollcart.

  • Choose a display color.
  • System Tools > Database Setup > Company Maintenance > Container Types.
See Creating Container Types for more information.

Add New Containers

System Tools > Containers > Add Containers.

  • Containers can be added as a Single or in Bulk.
  • In this example we'll use bulk. In this case 200 containers are being added.
NOTE: Highlighted is a preview of what the name will look like.

Note: 'Size' is the quantity of digits in the numbering scheme.
A size of 3 with a Start # of 1 will look like RC-35G-001, RC-35G-002, etc.
It will prepend zeroes to the number.
  • The Depot is where the containers are physically located.
  • Adding containers is done at this point.
  • Click 'Save'.
